The secret is out – Byron Baes is underway with cameras rolling on the controversial Netflix reality show.
While producers have been tight lipped about the cast, Confidential has obtained a top secret list of faces that have made the cut.
Among them are former Love Island contestant Elias Chigros and former Bachelorette and Bachelor In Paradise star Nathan Favro.
As previously reported in Confidential, Hannah Brauer, whose parents own Bisque Traders in Bangalow, is also in the cast while loved up couple Dave Frim and Saskia Wotton, who is sales director with fashion label Silk Laundry, are also in.
Byron Bay has become a hub of production since Nicole Kidman’s Nine Perfect Strangers set up base there.
Numerous movies and television productions have since been shot in the area.
And while Byron has well and truly embraced Hollywood, it hasn’t been the same reception for this reality TV format.
Earlier this week, Confidential revealed that the cast of the reality show were left furious over a tongue-in-cheek press release in which they were referred to as “influencers” and “hot Instagrammers”.
There have also been calls to boycott the production by Byron Bay locals fearing the show will perpetuate stereotypes and attract the “wrong crowd” to the tourist hot spot.
A paddle protest was recently held while an online petition against the show has received several thousand signatures and some reports have suggested locals will boycott businesses that take part in the series.
Pressure has increased to the point producers have hired security to ensure the cast is safe throughout filming.
Others to have made the list include Elle Watson, who works for an investment company, spiritualistic therapist Simba Ali, influencer Jade Kevin Foster and talent manager Alex Reid, who previously worked as an assistant-turned-manager for radio host Kyle Sandilands.
Fashion designer Jess Bell and model sister Lauren are on board, while musician Billy Otto’s name has been bandied around.
Despite having previously been suggested as cast members, influencer Ruby Tuesday, The Block’s Elyse Knowles and bikini model Natalie Roser are not involved.
