CARRIE Bickmore has shut down industry rumours she was offered the co-hosting job alongside Rove McManus on SCA’s Sydney breakfast show before Bachelorette reality star Sam Frost was given the job.
“I heard the rumour and I would never say no to working with Rove again,” Bickmore told Confidential.
“I had a laugh when I heard that. Friends in radio texted me saying, ‘What are you doing?’ It isn’t true.”
McManus is credited with giving Bickmore her start when he plucked her from the Nova radio newsroom to star in the weekly Carrie At The News Desk segment on his now-defunct weekly night show.
The pair have remained good friends and McManus’ production company — Roving Enterprises — is behind The Project.
