Burgess brothers bask in baby bliss: Sam snuggles daughter Poppy while George builds crib for bub

It couldn’t be a happier time for NRL stars and Burgess brothers Sam and George, who are both getting their first taste of real parenthood...and watching them in action couldn’t be cuter!

It couldn’t be a happier time for NRL stars and Burgess brothers Sam and George, who are both getting their first taste of real parenthood.

Born last Tuesday, it seems smitten Sam can’t get enough of his little girl Poppy, with mum Phoebe documenting their already strong, daddy-daughter bond. Posting to Instagram the rugby star posed topless while holding his princess close and placing a kiss on her little lips.

Captioned “My world,” the snap sent fans into overdrive with hundreds gushing over the candid moment.

“I am melting,” one follower said, while another commented, “Beautiful daddy’s girl”.

Sam announced the arrival of their bundle of joy last week, with an intimate black and white Instagram post of the three, captioned - “My two girls doing extremely well. My everything”.

Uncle George Burgess, who’s wife Joanna is due to give birth in the next few weeks, was sure to get in some practice with his new niece.

“We can’t get enough of little Miss Poppy. What a perfect angel you two have created,” Joanna wrote alongside the gorgeous image of George and Poppy.

And it seems the family’s newest arrival has given uncle George and aunty Joanna inspiration to start preparing for their own little bub, spending the weekend putting the nursery together.

“Team work. @george.burgess building bubs cot and I’m over here DJing and testing the feeding chair,” the glowing mum to be wrote on Instagram.
