Breakout MAFS star Lucinda Light is rumoured to make $250K in 10 days on UK speaking tour

The Byron Bay wedding celebrant and lifestyle coach is heading to the UK on a speaking tour post-MAFS, and it’s believed she could make $250,000 in ticket sales alone.

MAFS’ Lucinda Light is booked, busy, and still on the market.

The beloved breakout star of Married At First Sight captivated Australian audiences with her emotional intelligence and Byron Bay hippy charm.

Now, she’s en route to sell out all eight of her UK speaking tour shows. Tickts are priced at £27.50 GBP ($52 AUD), and there are reportedly 4,500 in total.

This doesn’t include any extra VIP packages, meet-and-greet add-ons or merch, so she stands to rake in even more money for the “An Evening with Lucinda Light” tour.

Despite her marriage on the reality TV series to Timothy Smith not resulting in a fairy-tale ending, Light told WHO magazine the flood of interest from potential suitors both male and female after the series was “overwhelming”.

“I do believe that good things come to those who wait,” Light said in her June cover story, which hits the stands Monday.

“I believe in my heart of hearts that I don’t think he’s too far away because I’m really ready to share that part of my life.”

The 44-year-old said she has come to terms with the likelihood that motherhood may not be on the cards for her future.

“I’ve done a lot of grieving around letting go of being a mumma,” she said. “It was actually one of the biggest desires and at the top of my wishlist.”

After the show, Light relocated from Byron Bay to the Melbourne for a needed reset, with fans speculating that the motivation may have been her Victoria-based MAFS husband.

“It’s a lovely sanctuary of quiet among the busyness and storm post-MAFS,” Light said, adding that the pair are friends. “I’ve just been so grateful for it.”

With over 642,000 Instagram followers at the time of writing and a crop of post-show opportunities at her fingertips, the fan-favourite bride has been one of the most successful cast members this year.

Capitalising on the fanbase she built as the “group mum” to lovesick reality TV brides and grooms, one of Light’s many new ventures is her new subscription-based portal, titled: “Lucinda Light Tribe”. Per her website, the service is described as a “nurturing space” where “Lu can prioritise your emotional well-being, relationships, and communication skills overlooked in our busy lives”.

The service costs $27 a month, for fortnightly “Ask Lu” zoom calls.

Since signing a talent manager, Light has been making hay while the spotlight shines —doing brand deals, nightclub appearances, “soulful dating” events, and even released her own line of “naughty” conversation cards.

However, it hasn’t always been this way for the self-proclaimed holistic counsellor.

On May 31, Light took to Instagram to give her followers a candid glimpse into her not-so-glamorous life before MAFS, including financial struggles.

“Last year, I was officially broke for the first time in my adult life and had to borrow money, which didn’t feel good,” she wrote in the caption. “It was incredibly stressful, and getting ready for MAFS pushed me to my limit.

“There were many reasons for this: living in expensive Byron, dealing with Covid restrictions as an events person, managing the aftermath and health demands of a breakdown, the Northern Rivers floods, and preparing for MAFS.

“I had to dig deep, sell my beloved van and ask friends/designers for help.”
