‘Body love’ model duo Georgia Gibbs and Kate Wasley bag Sports Illustrated shoot

AUSSIE models Georgia Gibbs and Kate Wasley have taken their body love movement to the world, landing a coveted place in the annual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.

AUSSIE models Georgia Gibbs and Kate Wasley have taken their body love movement to the world, landing a coveted spot in the annual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.

The two models, who have become known for championing a positive body image, are currently shooting for the magazine in Aruba, an island in the Caribbean.

They join the likes of Elle Macpherson, Jessica Gomes and plus-sized model Robin Lawley who have all previously starred in the edition, known for boosting the careers of the world’s top swimsuit models.

Wasley, who is being photographed with Gibbs and separately for Sports Illustrated’s pages, said posing for the magazine was a dream come true.

“We are beyond excited to be apart of the SI family,” Wasley said.

“To be a part of something so iconic that is so inclusive of race, size and shape is truly a dream come true.”

Gibbs, 21, who is a size 6, and Wasley, 22, who is a size 16, launched a website called Any Body Co earlier this year to encourage positive body image.
