BEAU Ryan and former Hi-5 star Lauren Brant have copped a tirade of backlash on their social media accounts overnight in the wake of allegations the pair had a romantic affair.

Warren Riley, Brant’s ex-fiance, aired the story in a Woman’s Day article, claiming she and Ryan met while working on the Aladdin and his Wondrous Lamp stage production earlier this year.

Brant has locked her Instagram account, setting it to private after she posted a picture with a dog, which was captioned: “Who said Monday’s have to be dreaded?”

Ryan, who has stood down from the Footy Show indefinitely, has kept quiet on all three of his social media platforms but old posts, dating back to earlier this month, has been hijacked by angry online commenters.

Riley made damning allegations in the woman’s magazine, claiming Brant had ruined their engagement. The couple were planning on marrying this month.

“On our first night in New Zealand she was behaving very differently.

“We were at a bar near our hotel room and I needed the bathroom, so I quickly ducked back to the room and her phone was here, so I looked at it. There were messages between her and one of her friends who’d seen a few of the Aladdin shows and gone out with the cast. The friend was asking her, ‘what’s up between you and Beau — you seem like you have a complicated relationship.”

Ryan, 30, who found with his Footy Show segment Beau Knows, married longtime partner Kara Orrell in October 2012. Their daughter Remi turned two in January.
