Sisters Elly and Becky Miles say they have no regrets despite failing to find forever love on reality series Bachelorette.
And while Elly is still hopeful of finding ‘the one’, The Daily Telegraph can confirm Becky is in the early stages of a new relationship with a guy named James.
“It is funny because you don’t know what will come around the corner or what life will throw at you,” Becky told the Telegraph.
“I have been hanging out with someone fantastic and it could be the one so I guess I am just really looking forward to seeing what 2021 brings.”
It is not quite the fairytale ending promised when the sisters embarked on a national TV search to find love earlier this year but one that has brought Becky much joy.
“We are just taking things slow," she said. “After the show, it was such a whirlwind so I am happy getting to him.”
The Miles siblings made history as the first sister act to team up on The Bachelorette reality format.
Elly chose Frazer Neate in the emotional finale while Becky followed her heart with Pete Mann, only for him to break up with her four days later. Elly and Neate too broke up not long after the show.
“The only good thing about it is the fact that we can look back and know we had a really cool adventure together,” Elly, a nurse by trade, said. “So we have no regrets. While things didn’t work out after the show, there were so many lovely memories that we can hold dear. And there were a lot of lessons learnt.”
Looking ahead to 2021 and beyond, both sisters have big plans that involve travel when border restrictions ease.
“I want to get out there, I want to travel around Australia, with COVID and everything you really appreciate what is in your own backyard.
“I am really passionate about the environment and conservation so would like to do my bit to highlight that to people,” Becky said.
Elly added that she’d like to compete on gruelling reality show SAS Australia because she not only believes it would test her personally. It would also, she continued, show the real her away from a dating show.
“I really want to get in a ute and travel Australia,” she said. “Why should the boys be the ones that always get to drive the utes. I got a new swag for Christmas, I want to go and do some adventuring. I’m going to film the experience and call it Crikey Adventures.”
