Reality TV contestant Davey Lloyd’s hopes of becoming a TV host have been momentarily put on hold after the Bachelor star was charged with drink driving.
The Bachelor In Paradise personality, who has said he wants to move into hosting, was fined $850 and disqualified from getting behind the wheel for three months after admitting to drink driving at Manly Local Court on Wednesday.
Lloyd, 29, pleaded guilty to middle range prescribed concentration of alcohol (PCA) of 0.114, more than double the legal limit, following a date with his girlfriend Georgia Cook.
At 10.10pm on September 2, Lloyd was driving on Pittwater Rd, Warriewood, when police stopped his vehicle for a random breath test. He was arrested and taken to Dee Why Police station.
At the same time and at the same RBT, police pulled over his girlfriend, NRL cheerleader Georgia Cook for a random breath test where she blew 0.83 and was charged with the same offence.

On top of the fine and disqualification, the magistrate ordered Lloyd’s vehicle to be fitted with an alcohol interlock device for 12 months. Lloyd relies on driving a vehicle to work as a carpenter.
Outside court on Wednesday, Lloyd said he was embarrassed of his actions and said it was lucky no one was hurt.
“I’ve got to live with having the interlock now and I’m going to take this as a blessing in disguise and tell all of my friends and family how easy it is to get caught,” a regretful Lloyd said.
“I’m very sorry and it will never happen again. I will use this time wisely to reflect.”
Lloyd said he had no idea he was over the legal limit.
“I’d actually been at an event with dinner, over three hours, and the drinks, it was a stupid mistake. I had four but they were actually 1.8 standard drinks. It was by accident and I never knew that. But it’s so easy to be misled.”
Cook received a two-year conditional release order.
