Leah from The Bachelor defends her topless past

THE Bachelor reject and former topless waitress Leah Costa has lashed out at Channel 10’s producers for “creating drama” on the reality TV show.

The 24-year-old, who is now an architecture student, posted a photograph of herself with latest evicted Jen Hawke after the self-proclaimed villain told the remaining women to “get f**ked” in last night’s episode.

But this morning Hawke has come out in defence of the network, claiming the series was filmed “all week.”

“Leah is like a little sister to me, and I really appreciate all of her support. The Bachelor is filmed all week, and what the audiences see are two hours of that filming, so of course they don’t see everything,” she said.

“I stand by everything I have said and done, as I have been true to myself, but it’s also true that audiences have not seen all of my personality.”

Her response comes after Costa stuck up for Hawke, 27, following her sensational exit from the mansion.

“If only you all got to see the person I did, the funny, kind, warm, strong, loyal sometimes sassy big sister,” Costa wrote online.

“None of you know the true people behind the cameras, what you are watching is CREATED by professional people employed to create drama!

“Do you personally know the girls you think are sweet and lovely or the ones that you think are nasty? Of course not, the haters need to stop taking everything they see as face value, TV is created for ENTERTAINMENT!

“So please before you go throwing shade over the internet remember we are real people with feelings and emotions, we are somebody’s daughter/sister/friend and your words do hurt!

“(Jen) I know the real you and I will stand by you through thick and thin.”

A Warner Bros spokesperson also said: “The storyline of the show simply follows chat that has been instigated and discussed among the bachelorettes themselves, as was the case with Leah.

“Duty of care, safety and the welfare of participants is paramount during filming and producers adhere to strict rules to ensure all participants are well cared for at all times.

“The bachelorettes live on a five-acre property with vast grounds and gardens, a pool, gym equipment and a tennis court. They have ample time to relax, as well as go on dates. “Occasionally they have a long day of shooting but there is plenty of time to relax and recuperate,” she said.

“Matty has one goal as The Bachelor and that is to fall in love. Occasionally a bachelorette doesn’t get the attention they are hoping for from The Bachelor and it doesn’t work out between them. Matty and the show accept that.”

Hawke has also taken to Instagram last night, with the hashtag “bye b*tches” captioned on a picture of her departure.

“Matty needs the girl next door … Some of us are busy being the whole damn city,” she added.

The Bachelor airs on Wednesday and Thursday nights at 7.30pm on Channel 10.
