Bachelor in Paradise star Ciarran Stott has slammed the show after his villain edit sparked death threats from online trolls.

Reality TV has a mental health problem

Months after his stint on axed Channel 10 reality show Bachelor in Paradise, Ciarran Stott is still dealing with the fallout from his villain edit.

The British reality star told Confidential that he was bombarded with death threats from online trolls after being portrayed as a womanizer on the dating show.

“I still cop it today, I used to get it all the time,” the former Army Rifleman told Confidential.

“It was pretty bad but right now it’s settled down a bit. Anything I do gets trolled straight away whether it be cutting or dyeing my hair ... because of the show people think I’m some sort of misogynist who doesn’t appreciate women.

“I wouldn’t say I was accurately portrayed on the show, they do chop and change a lot of the stuff.”

One particular storyline left viewers outraged after it was claimed Stott had “ghosted” fellow contestant Kiki Morris.

“On the last episode they said I ghosted Kiki and that was a lie,” he said.

“I moved to Sydney, we dated for a bit and it didn’t work out so I left. It was a real relationship. I never ghosted her but that’s what they said on the last episode.”

Stott said he’s worried about stepping out publicly after being threatened with violence during a pub outing in Victoria recently.

“I was at a pub in Geelong yesterday and someone said they were going to punch me in the face. All because of a TV show,” he said.

“There was zero support from Channel 10.”

It comes after another contestant Jamie Doran filed a lawsuit against production company Warner Bros International over claims they lacked duty of care.

Confidential has contacted Channel 10 and Warner Bros International for comment.

Stott, 27, is now focused on rebuilding his image and will partake in a celebrity boxing match in April.

“It’s my first amateur boxing bout on April 24 in Melbourne. I’m excited for that, can’t wait,” he said.
