THE show is called Bachelor in Paradise but after two episodes it appears the show is more like hell for some of the contestants.
Last night the reality show claimed its first victim with colourful character Davey Loyd eliminated from the show after he admittedly stuffed up.
Loyd chose to appease his mate Jake Ellis, putting feelings for Florence Moerenhout aside and even considered walking off in an attempt to eliminate the awkwardness.
“It was hard for me to decide what to do. I did make a mistake. I didn’t want to go up against my mate,” Loyd said.
“I considered leaving, I knew it would be a hard decision for her (Florence).
The Sydney-based construction worker said he was very much single and ready to put himself and his love life as a priority.

“I think that I have learnt from my mistakes and I you know that I am not getting any younger,” he said.
“I’ve put other people first for a long time and maybe it’s time for me to put myself first.”
Although a number of failed romances with ex-reality stars Loyd has not ruled out dating more former contestants.
“Every person who I have met from a reality shows I have found to be a good person inside and out, so I am not ruling it out,” he said.
The audience numbers for the first episode were respectable but not in the same league as Married at First Sight.
Across the five major metropolitan cities and average of 750,000 viewers tuned in.
The show continues tonight with more drama set to hit the island paradise over coming weeks.
Confidential understands there will be new contestants, heart break and walk outs as the show heats up.
