Top Aussie model Jarrod Scott is to become a father for the first time.
Confidential can reveal the 33-year-old and girlfriend Brioney Prier are expecting their first child together.
Prier showed off her growing baby bump as the pair stepped out for the Gucci Garden Archetypes event at Sydney’s Powerhouse Museum on Tuesday night.
She recently passed the three month mark.
“We are super excited,” Scott told Confidential.
“She is glowing and just looks amazing. We can’t wait to start our family together. It is such a special time.”
Confidential broke news that the couple were dating earlier this year.
Scott is arguably on of Australia’s top male model exports ever and has worked with major fashion houses from Giorgio Armani to Hugo Boss, Tom Ford and Roberto Cavalli.
Scott and Prier, who previously worked for Dior, have spent much of the year travelling the globe as they prepare to launch a business venture together.
That business is an alcohol brand, although they are keeping details close to their chests until launch in 2023.
“It is like we have our two babies being born next year,” Prier said. “We don’t do things by halves. Obviously it is going to be very busy but we are extremely excited and motivated for this next chapter in our life together, personally and professionally.”
Meanwhile, eight-time Grammy Award winner Anderson Paak was the international special guest at the Gucci Garden Archetype event.
He told Confidential he is not taking anything in life for granted as he soaks up the spoils of his success, not least of which is his whirlwind trip to Sydney.
“I grew up shopping at Ross Dress For Less and Burlington Coat Factory, now I am at the top notch hotels, Nobu, Gucci, head to toe, it is the charmed life,” Paak said. “It is surreal. It is super dope … just crazy. I used to borrow my sisters clothes and stuff. I am never gonna let this go.”
Flying into Sydney on Tuesday, Paak was the surprise guest performer alongside a stellar line-up of celebrity guests turning out for the coveted pink carpet opening, among them actor Olivia De Jonge, musos Baker Boy, Vera Blue and Amy Shark, TV host Erin Holland and model Georgia Fowler.
“It is an extension of the creativity,” Paak, a long-time collaborator with Bruno Mars, said of melding music and fashion.
“I feel like it just works hand-in-hand with what I am doing. It never ceases to amaze me. I love everything they (Gucci) do.”
Brushing up on his Aussie knowledge, Paak cited iconic Aussie outfit Men at Work as his favourite local artist, specifically the tracks Down Under and Who Can It Be Now.
“Men at Work is sick,” he said.
The Gucci Garden Archetype Exhibition opens to the public Thursday.
