Stan Walker - singer

Christmas to me is all about family time … and more family time and My mum’s cooking, hot days by the pool, the guitars coming out and a big sing along, all the little ones fully joyous and all the aunties and uncles coming over.

Christmas is a time for reflection looking back but also a time for thinking forward and above all else a time of family.

I love that point where you get to in the day where you’re so full you’ve given up and you’re like a turtle on its back and you can’t move but it’s amazing how you can slide from lunch into dinner. When you think you’re full, always remember kids, glass of water and you’ll get a bit more in. Really stack it on!

Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald - Nova radio host

Christmas is more important than ever this year, obviously bringing families together and getting all the people who love and support you around you as close as you can, whilst keeping your safe distance of course.

My Christmas wish is a simple one … that everyone makes time to take a big exhale and release of all the challenges and difficulties this year offered up and then enjoy a few days of well-earned rest and fun, sharing joy-filled moments with your favourite people.

Charlie Albone - Landscaper

When I was younger Christmas was all about the presents. Now it is all about quality time with my family and enjoying my children enjoying the spirit of Christmas.

I actually hope it’s a bumper crop for all of our farmers around Australia this Christmas. They’re in the midsts of harvest right now and they’ve had an absolutely devastating four years of the worst drought in living memory. So its going to take a lot of Australian rural families and farming families many years to recover from the last harrowing few years. So I hope it’s the start of a big turnaround for those guys because our whole country depends on them. They provide us with all the food that we need to eat over Christmas, so, I hope they’re doing ok.

My partner buys me a craft beer advent calendar every year so I can try a new crafty each day of the festive season. A year-long advent calendar would be pretty sweet. I really love Christmas. I love being home and feeling a sense of family. I went through a period in my teens of thinking it was lame but then I thought most things were lame in my teens. In hindsight, I think I was the lame one.

Ed Halmagyi - Better Homes and Gardens

Christmas this year is going to be, well, local, as you might imagine. The plan is for the whole gang to head to Dad’s place, even our newly graduated HSC students – they’ve all been told they have to be home for Christmas. It could, possibly be the last all-in event for a while, as they’re planning on seeing the world as soon as they can. So, I’m extra looking forward to it.

Given the year that has been, I think we will have a quiet Christmas this year, probably at home. This year has made me stopand realise how thankful I am for my health. Living in a pandemic makes you realise how easy it is to take it for granted. It’s been such a challenging year for everyone and a bit of a relief to be nearing the end. This year my wish is for manymore double doughnut days and a COVID free Australia.

Charlotte Chimes (Nicolette)

After the year we’ve all had with COVID and border closures Christmas this year will be extra special. I’ll be home in Toowoombawith my entire family, listening to Michael Buble and Mariah Carey’s Christmas albums on repeat. My mum will make her famousslow cooked cider pork belly (DROOL!) and we’ll have lots of prawns and Christmas ham and chocolate and cocktails. Eat drinkand be merry!

Alan Fletcher (Karl)

Christmas Day will be at ours with family for lunch and friends in the evening. Good food and good company! Weather dependentactivities will include swimming, backyard cricket, a few games of pool and an afternoon snooze on the couch! I want for verylittle materially so experiences are big on my wish list. My dream gift would be a ticket on a ship to Antarctica for sightseeing. I love the idea of people donating to charity on my behalf as my gift. I feel it is a thoughtful and socially aware gift. Strangely it has only happened once for me.

Georgie Parker (Roo Stewart)

For Christmas this year I’m so fortunate that my parents live only five minutes away, so I’ll be staying local, having a lovely lunch and just enjoying being together.

Ray Meagher (Alf Stewart)

This Christmas break I’ll be heading to Queensland with family and enjoying some downtime to recharge ahead of another big year in 2021.

Lukas Radovich (Ryder Jackson)

2020 has been a whirlwind for everyone. I was so lucky that during the lockdown I was able to move up to the Blue Mountains to be with my family. so it’s only natural that as soon as filming wrapped, I’ve come straight back there to be with my family for the Christmas period. I also couldn’t wait to see my dog Jasper again. This year I’ve really appreciated the extra time to enjoy the outdoors and I also really love cooking, so that’s where you’ll find me over the filming break.

Emily Symons (Marilyn)

I am so grateful to be safe, well and close to my loved ones. We’ve had an incredible year in Summer Bay and whilst we’ll all enjoy the break, we can’t wait to get back into filming the show in the New Year.

Rob Kipa-Williams (Ari Parata)

It’s really important at this time of the year to remember what family is all about. I absolutely love filming with my Home And Away family throughout the year, but my Christmas wish would be to spend Christmas back home with my family in New Zealand. My favourite Christmas memory would have to be a present hunt with an elaborate series of clues, each clue leading closer to the pressies.
