It was anything but a traditional runway when Toni Maticevski sent his latest designs up the catwalk in Paris this week.

It was anything but a traditional runway when Toni Maticevski sent his latest designs up the catwalk in Paris this week.

Accessories took centre stage alongside Maticevski’s creations as the designer partnered with Aussie jewellery brand Heart of Bone as his collection made its way up the runway.

Models showed off the creations on their wrists, fingers and even one had a piece in her mouth.

“We wanted to challenge the notions of conventional beauty within the industry — whether this be in regard to contemporary jewellery, in my case, or the creation and evolution of fashion design in Toni’s,’ Heart of Bone’s Emma Abrahams said.

“This is no ordinary jewellery collection, but a bold and confident statement.”

The high end fine gold jewellery collection has pieces priced from $1000 to $75,000.

There was a strong contingent of Aussies sat front row at the show, including Vogue Australia Editor Edwina McCann, as well as Christine Centenera, Jarrod Scott and Margaret Zhang.

Heart of Bone has a strong celebrity following led by pop superstar of the moment, Billie Eilish.

Rocker Slash is also a fan, as are Marc Jacobs, Jean Paul Gaultier, Dita von Teese, Charlie XCX, Demi Lovato, Diplo and Courtney Love.

American teen Eilish is seen wearing the label in the current issue of Vogue Australia.

“We had no idea we would be in for such a frenzied hype,” Abrahams said of interest since Eilish had worn the brand’s Bad Bunny ring.

“We can’t wait to see them pop-up all over the world, from Kazakstan to Korea, New York to Hobart.”

Other Australians in Paris this week include Mara and Mine, Paolo Sebastian, Steven Khalil and Aleem Yusuf.
