One of Australia’s top international music exports has slipped quietly into Sydney undetected.
The Kid Laroi, known for his global smash hits Stay with Justin Bieber and Without You with Miley Cyrus, was snapped having lunch at Matteo Downtown in the CBD on Wednesday.
Wearing a beanie, a Chicago Wolves ice hockey T-shirt, baggy black jeans and carrying a Goyard bag, the 20-year-old appeared relaxed hours before his expected appearance on stage with American rapper and singer Post Malone at The Domain last night.
Earlier, fans speculated on social media about the Australian superstar joining Post Malone at the gig.
The Kid Laroi – real name Charlton Howard – featured as a guest on Malone’s song, Wasting Angels. The pair also worked together on rapper YoungBoy Never Broke Again’s What You Say.

They have become good mates and even a couple of years back tattooed each other while in the studio together. Laroi scored a cowboy stick figure with clogs, wings and a hat while Malone had “the story of my life summed up in four words” inked on his right thigh, being ‘I have to s***’.
“I think it was more painful for him than it was for me,” Laroi said in an interview with Variety. “Because he’s done it before, (and) I was a little heavy-handed and still had to over-line it a couple times. It was really faded.”
The Kid Laroi meanwhile will hit the road for a national stadium tour in 2024, playing Sydney’s CommBank Stadium on February 16.
His album, The First Time, was released this month.
