IT WAS the day of the Aussies at New York Fashion Week yesterday with local designers and models dominating in the Big Apple.
Fashion houses Zimmermann and Christopher Esber showed their latest collections for New York’s fashion crowd.
It was an A list front row for the ethereal brand’s showing.
Australian sisters Jessica and Ashley Hart sported cool jumpsuits as they mingled with the celebs in attendance.
The girls were spotted chatting to Pretty Little Liars star Shay Mitchell and singer and actor Kiersey Clemons.
New York “it girl” Olivia Palermo slotted the Aussie designers into her hectic fashion week schedule.
Model of the moment Bridget Malcolm sent the paparazzi into a spin when she arrived for the show looking effortlessly chic.
While the Christopher Esber show was a less star studded affair, Aussie father-daughter duo Napoleon and Lianna Perdis were both in attendance.
Lianna was walking in her very first fashion show.
“To be walking at NYFW for a homegrown, Australian fashion designer is humbling (and super exciting) to say the least,” the young model said.
“When Christopher asked me to be a part of his show, my immediate answer was, yes! I adore his work and am humbled to have been chosen to showcase his designs.”
Makeup mogul dad Napoleon also worked on the show and said he was proud of his daughter.
“Having Lianna walk her first NYFW show showcasing prominent Australia fashion designer, Christopher Esber’s designs is beyond wonderful,” he said.
“I’m so proud of how humble, professional and focused Lianna is. She continues to make her mother, sisters and I very proud.”
