The Chanel model said potential girlfriends didn’t need to be models, but he often found women assumed that it was a prerequisite.

“Girls always say to me, ‘Oh, I’m not a model, you wouldn’t be interested’, and that’s really a turn-off for me because it shows you’re not confident in yourself,” the 2014 GQ Man of Style told Elle Halliwell during a shoot for Confidential.

“Dating a model would be good because they understand the industry so they’re not going to get jealous about shooting with another girl, and they also travel a lot too, which is (good). If I had a girlfriend back here I wouldn’t be able to see her because I’m hardly ever here.”

Scott will join GQ editor Ceri David at David Jones for Vogue Fashion’s Night Out on Thursday night, giving shoppers styling tips and discussing new season trends as part of GQ Men’s Styling Night Out.
