ADAM Demos could get used to being a Hollywood leading man.
The former Aussie construction worker turned actor couldn’t have had more fun working on new romantic comedy movie, Falling Inn Love.
“I had just never been that high up on a call sheet and had that much to do in a job and so it felt like a really great responsibility,” Demos told Confidential.
“I wanted to do it justice to repay the faith of these guys giving me the job.
Falling Inn Love will premiere on Netflix on August 29 with the service also now available on Foxtel’s IQ4.
The TV movie was directed by Roger Kumble (Cruel Intentions) and also stars Christina Milian, telling the story of a young American woman who moves to New Zealand.
“It was a dream,” he said.
“I also liked the character, that is the main goal, to like the material you are working on and I definitely did that.”
Demos is most famous to date for appearing on hit US TV series, UnREAL.
His other credits include Cooped Up, Janet King, Winners & Losers and Home and Away.
“I think I have been really fortunate in what I’ve done,” he said.
“I want to work with quality people and learn from them and that is what I have been lucky enough to do so if I can continue that in whatever capacity and play characters that I like and I’m proud of, then that is the dream to me.”
Demos grew up in Wollongong and previously worked in demolition, as well as doing shifts at Port Kembla steelworks and for his friend’s dad’s roofing business.
“Acting is just what I love to do the most out of anything,” he said. “As hard as it can be sometimes for people, I still get to pursue my dreams. I am one of those lucky ones in life who knows what I want to do.”
