KIIS FM staffer Josh Fox speaks out after Jacob Elordi stunt bust up at Clovelly Hotel

The KIIS FM staffer who was involved in an alleged altercation with Jacob Elordi at a pub in Sydney’s east has revealed his version of events, claiming the Hollywood actor put his hands on his throat.

A radio staffer has broken his silence after an alleged altercation with Jacob Elordi in Sydney’s east over the weekend, saying the Australian actor pushed and grabbed him.

KIIS FM staffer Joshua Fox shared his side of the story on The Kyle and Jackie O show on Monday, claiming the altercation happened after a failed prank that referenced Hollywood movie, Saltburn, which Elordi stars in.

Elordi had spent Saturday afternoon at Clovelly Hotel and Fox said he was waiting for colleague ‘Intern Pete’ outside the pub, where the pair had planned to create a video of the actor as he left.

“I wait outside till he leaves, that’s what paparazzi would do. In England I did that job,” Fox said on the radio program.

“I wait out there, I’m stressing like ‘where’s Pete, where Pete?’. And then Jacob walks out and I’m like sh*t I’m going to have to have this moment.”

Audio played earlier on the radio program revealed Fox asked Elordi a crude question which referenced a now-viral, sexually explicit bathtub scene from the movie Saltburn.

Fox admitted the stunt “didn’t land. He claimed two of Elordi’s friends then surrounded him against a wall.

“(I was) feeling quite intimidated and I’m thinking something’s gonna happen here because I can’t move. They’re all surrounding me against this wall,” Fox said.

He alleged Elordi told him to delete the footage of the incident.

Fox said he deleted the footage but when Elordi asked him to delete it from his recently deleted file, the KIIS staffer refused.

“I’m thinking if I delete this footage, there’s no evidence that this encounter happened,” Fox said.

Fox claimed the actor then “flipped” a switch.

“Jacob kind of just flips his hands and he pushes me against the wall and his hands are on my throat,” Fox said.

Fox then claimed that one of Elordi’s friends stepped in to pull the actor off him and followed him back towards the pub, prompting the KIIS staffer to not talk to the press.

“’Make sure that video goes nowhere, make sure you tell no one about this’, making me shake his hand. Again, I felt intimidated by it,” Fox said.

Audio from the encounter was played earlier on Kyle and Jackie O’s breakfast show.

“Excuse me Jacob,” Fox said in the audio.

“I just want to say hey I’m from the Kyle and Jackie O show.”

“Ah well done man, that’s cool,” Elordi replied.

“Really random but I want to give you this, Jackie wants a birthday present,” Fox said.

“Jacob Elordi’s bath water,” Elordi can be heard reading out.

“She’s a big fan of the movie,” Fox said.

“What am I supposed to do with this, put bath water in this?” Elordi asked.

“If you want to, you can send it to the studio,” Fox replied.

“You’re kidding me right?” Elordi said.

“Nah seriously, for Jackie O,” Fox responded.

“Are you filming?” Elordi asked.

“Yeah,” Fox said.

“Can you not man, please?” Elordi asked before the audio cut out.

Prior to hearing the audio, KIIS FM radio host Kyle Sandilands criticised Fox’s approach.

“I’m on my guy’s side because he’s my guy,” Sandilands said.

“But don’t go out there carrying on like a bitch every time, like who cares if you get pushed around.

“It’s a part of the gig, you’re a dirty paparazzi, almost.”

The Sunday Telegraph revealed Fox had refused police requests to make a statement after the alleged altercation with Elordi.

Police earlier said they were investigating after a man was allegedly assaulted outside the pub.

They were told that an altercation occurred between two men but that the alleged victim of the assault did not sustain any injuries and no charges had been laid.

Police sources confirmed to The Daily Telegraph that soon after the alleged confrontation, Fox went to Waverley Police Station and made a report, but refused to give a formal statement.

Detectives said CCTV of the incident has been seized and will be reviewed as part of their investigation into the complaint.

On Monday morning, Fox posted an Instagram story to his public social media page.

“Hello, thank you for the kind messages,” he posted at 10.45am.

“I won’t be discussing or commenting on the Jacob Elordi incident away from what I said on-air this morning.”

Fox’s Instagram amassed more than one thousand additional followers since Sunday.

The popular Sydney breakfast hosts, Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, said on-air they had no involvement with their staffer’s stunt.

However, the KIIS FM breakfast show is pushing the content, with Fox adding an additional post to his Instagram story captioned: “His hands were on my throat. Producer Josh breaks his silence on Jacob Elordi incident” with an additional ‘Listen Here’ link to Monday’s broadcast.

Rising star Elordi is due to travel to the Gold Coast this week for the AACTA Awards, as a nominee for Best Supporting Actor in an international film (Saltburn), and an audience choice award for Best Actor.

His recent portrayals of aristocrat Felix Catton in the controversial hit, produced by Margot Robbie, and of Elvis in Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla have cemented the actor’s Hollywood status.

Elordi, who rose to global fame starring in teen rom-com The Kissing Booth and cult hit series Euphoria, is thought to have been in Sydney for a couple of months.

Late last year he was filming his new Australian miniseries The Narrow Road in the Deep South.

He was spotted withdrawing cash from an Oxford St ATM this week, and browsing Paddington Markets in December, with some social media users saying they saw him with his girlfriend, American Youtuber Olivia Jade.

The Australian actor is known for dating high profile women, including actor Zendaya and Cindy Crawford’s model daughter, Kaia Gerber.
