Tributes are flowing for former Channel 10 entertainment reporter Jesse Baird and his Qantas flight attendant partner Luke Davies, with on-air personalities expressing their heartbreak over the couple’s suspected murder.

Tributes are flowing for former Channel 10 entertainment reporter Jesse Baird and his Qantas flight attendant partner Luke Davies, who police believe were murdered last week.

Channel 10’s Narelda Jacobs read news of the men’s deaths on air on Friday night and said Baird, 26, and his partner Luke Davies, 29, were “adored”.

She took to social media later that day to write: “Two beautiful men on the darkest of days.

Forever in our hearts Jesse Baird and Luke Davies.

“This devastating news was delivered through a trembling voice moments after the allegations were made by police.

“My thoughts are with Jesse and Luke’s families and their friends and colleagues at Channel 10, the AFL and Qantas. Our hearts are broken.”

Weatherman Stevie Jacobs, who worked alongside Baird at Network 10 wrote: “I had the absolute pleasure of working with this beautiful human on Studio 10.

“He was the most gentle, kind, caring and incredibly talented young man. He had the most infectious smile and beautiful personality and was destined to go a long way in the television industry. He truly was an amazing soul.

“My heart is breaking at this devastating news and my sincerest condolences go out to the families of Jesse and Luke. May they both be in our hearts and minds forever.”

Ten News producer and presenter Gemma Barge, a close friend of Baird’s, said she was heartbroken by the news.

“Our beautiful, Kesse. My heart is breaking. There aren’t enough words right now but I will love you forever my beautiful friend.

“I am so sorry. Sending all my live and thoughts to Jesse and Luke’s loved ones.”

Ten personality Angie Kent took to Instagram to write, “Yesterday I spent grieving, hurting, crying and praying for Jesse and Luke’s family and friends.

“Today I want to spend reminiscing and remembering you just as you are — funny, charming, kind, absolutely beautiful inside and out.

“I don’t go out OUT much these days, but when I do … I want to dance and you were the perfect dance partner.

Ten newsreader Lachlan Kennedy wrote, “His talent was undeniable & energy infectious. Jesse Baird has had the brightest of futures stolen from him.

“For years we chatted footy, utes & country music, so because I can’t find the words right now, I’ll let Cody sing it.”

Sanda Sully simply wrote, “Newsroom heartbroken.”
