In true celebrity fashion, Katy Perry hid behind sunglasses and a large hat as she explored Port Douglas yesterday, after she and star fiance Orlando Bloom arrived at their new – temporary – Aussie home.
The couple landed in Australia this week with their one-year-old daughter Daisy Dove and Bloom’s 11-year-old son Flynn, who he shares custody with his ex Miranda Kerr.
The American Idol judge was dressed for the warm Queensland weather on Friday’s shopping trip, wearing a simple white dress, sunglasses and a hat, while stopping to look at baby clothes for daughter Daisy and also some jewellery at a local boutique.
The notoriously private A-listers will call Port Douglas home for the next three months while Bloom shoots his new film Wizards with Kim Kardashian’s boyfriend Pete Davidson in Far North Queensland.
The film, produced by Brad Pitt’s company Plan B, is projected to inject an estimated $14.7 million into the state’s economy.
Perry, 37, just finished filming the 20th season of American Idol, which closed on May 22, having starred as a judge for the past five seasons.
During the finale, she took the stage alongside country music star Thomas Rhett for the debut performance of their new song Where We Started.
