Cody Simpson’s family have given their approval for his new girlfriend after the Australian singer’s split from pop superstar Miley Cyrus.
Sister Alli Simpson, who is an intruder on reality show I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!, said she was thrilled her brother had found happiness with model Marloes Stevens.
“Marloes is amazing, she is so wonderful,” she said of Stevens. “She is super beautiful and such a caring person so it is nice to see them both so happy. It is really nice.”
Cody went public with his new romance over New Year, sharing images with Stevens on social media.
He split from on-again off-again girlfriend Cyrus in August and appears to have well and truly moved on with his new live.
Of Cyrus, Alli said: “I am not in touch with her as much, obviously because they are not together anymore. They are in a good place and I know they ended on good terms. I don’t know if they speak still but I know they are on good terms.”
Alli, 22, has followed in her famous brothers footsteps in entertainment, releasing music, hosting podcasts and radio. She will soon make her adult acting debut in American film, Linked.
On her relationship front, Simpson is dating real estate agent Mitchell Lambert.
“I am just living my life,” she said. “I am seeing someone new.”
Alli is the latest intruder on the current season of I’m A Celebrity, joining the likes of Jack Vidgen, Colin Fassnidge, Toni Pearen and Abbie Chatfield in the Australian ‘jungle’.
She has been a rumoured contestant on previous seasons.
“I honestly can’t believe that it finally happened,” she said. “It has beena while going back and forth. I couldn’t be more stoked to go in and give the jungle a crack because it has been this thing that I have been so scared of because there were so many of my fears in there.”
Her biggest fear is creepy-crawlies, namely “any insects basically”.
“Cockroaches and spiders are my worst,” she said. “Way more than snakes.”
