High-profile ABC journalist Emma Alberici has thanked surgeons for saving her fingers after they were crushed in the blades of a stick blender following a bloody kitchen accident.
High-profile ABC journalist Emma Alberici has thanked surgeons for saving her fingers after they were badly cut in the blades of a stick blender after a bloody kitchen accident.
Holding up her heavily bandaged hand, Alberici posted a series of photographs from her hospital bed at Sydney’s Prince of Wales Hospital.
“Advice: Don’t put your fingers in a stick blender blade to wash it while it’s still plugged in to the power, “ Alberici said.
“Fingers survived thanks to the incredible work of surgeon & team at Prince of Wales Hospital.
“Forever grateful we live in a country so blessed with world class medical treatment.”
