SHE scored a plum role on A Place To Call Home, now Abby Earl has let out a secret on how she stays confident in auditions.

Earl told Confidential she sometimes goes commando for auditions for luck.

“That is my big secret, don’t wear undies to an audition or for a photo shoot if you want to feel on edge and a little excited,” she said, laughing, in an interview for Confidential on Nova.

Earl plays Anna Bligh on the show that has been compared to Australia’s version of hit British series, Downton Abbey. The Aussie series also stars Marta Dusselorp, Noni Hazlehurst and Brett Climo.

While the second series airs on Seven Sunday nights, Earl will soon begin production on her first feature film role with Australian horror film, 8086.

“As scary as that is, it is a pretty exciting time,” she said. “It is a true departure from anything I’ve ever played before.”

While she’s recently signed to management in the US, Earl says she will stay with A Place To Call Home as long as the job is open to her.

“As long as it goes, I will be on board. It is a beautiful show.”
