It was the worst kept secret and now, Abbie Chatfield appears to have debuted her relationship with Bachelorette star Konrad Bien-Stephens on social media.
The TV presenter and her new man made a “soft launch” on TikTok this week after they were recently caught kissing at the Beach Hotel in Byron Bay.
The new couple, who fans have dubbed “Konrabbie”, discussed their relationship styles in a video posted online and while the former Bachelorette runner-up did not show his face, fans noticed his voice.
Chatfield, 26, compared her “anxious avoidant” style to Konrad’s “securely attached” and captioned the video with, “The tragedy of dating a securely attached man.”
In the clip she says, “There goes all my hopes of being the victim,” to which he replies - “You wanted to be the victim?” She explains, “I didn’t want to be the toxic one” and he then asks, “Why does anyone have to be toxic?”
Chatfield pauses then laughs and says, “Oh sweet boy”.
Melbourne carpenter Bien-Stephens, 31, recently said the pair met through mutual friends and are head over heels.
“We are seeing each other, yes,” he said.
“We met by chance one night in Byron Bay through a mutual friend. It’s early days but I’m excited for what the future holds.”
The couple made headlines earlier this month when they were spotted passionately kissing in Byron Bay, before he had been eliminated on The Bachelorette.
In an awkward twist, Chatfield had a blossoming friendship with Bachelorette star Brooke Blurton months before Blurton briefly dated Bien-Stephens on the Channel 10 show.
Chatfield, who is also queer, had been a big supporter of Blurton becoming the first Indigenous and bisexual Bachelorette.
They also openly flirted with one another on Chatfield’s It’s a Lot podcast earlier this year.
Bien-Stephens said he and Blurton simply “weren’t meant to be”.
“Brooke is an amazing woman and I am extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to meet her and get to know her but we just weren’t meant to be,” he said.
