A Place To Call Home star looks forward to future ‘female-driven’ projects

AN emotional Marta Dusseldorp has begun preparing to say goodbye to the show — and character — that has been her life for six years.

AN emotional Marta Dusseldorp has begun preparing to say goodbye to the show — and character — that has been her life for six years.

Dusseldorp, who plays Sarah Adams on the Logie award-winning show A Place To Call Home, which will wrap filming its sixth and final season in the coming weeks.

“Six seasons is a lot, and like any good book, you have to eventually close it,” Dusseldorp told Confidential.

“I don’t think it will hit me until it goes to air because we are still shooting.

“The ending for me is very definitive and that will be difficult to play.”

Dusseldorp, 45, says she plans to spend her time post-APTCH creating some “fabulous female-driven projects”.

“That’s my plan and my next adventure,” she added.

“I’m already onto that. They’re Australian stories for Australian people.”
