2GB has continued its dominance in the second radio survey of the year, with airwaves kings Alan Jones and Ray Hadley propelling the station to again take out the biggest market share across Sydney.
Both the Hadley and Jones shows won their slots.
Jones’s breakfast show recorded a lift from 12.9 to 13.5 per cent of the market.
Hadley’s own show recorded a small audience fall of 0.3 per cent, back to 15.3 but he remained king of Sydney radio with the biggest market share in the city across any timeslot.
It’s his 103rd victory in a row.
For six of the eight weeks in the survey period, Hadley was behind the mic for Jones while the radio veteran recovered from surgery.
During those six weeks, Hadley pulled an incredible double shift, working on air from 5.30am to midday.
Elsewhere at breakfast, Kyle and Jackie O continued their FM winning streak, taking 9.3 — a dip from last survey’s 10.5. Their WSFM stablemates Jonesy and Amanda suffered a drop from 7.3 to 6.7.
Triple M’s The Grill Team also dropped from 7.8 to 5.8. 2DayFM’s new Melbourne-based brekkie duo Em Rusciano and Harley Breen enjoyed a slight lift from 4.0 to 4.1, although they continue to sit on the bottom on the FM ratings. Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa picked up .1 to go from 7.2 to 7.3.
In drive, smoothfm’s Byron Webb enjoyed a massive life from 7.9 to 10.6, coming in to win the timeslot.
