Aussie superstar actor Sarah Snook made a fashionably late entrance as the red carpet officially rolled out for the 2025 Tony Awards at New York’s Radio City Music Hall.
Snook, 37, who later picked up the hugely prestigious Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Play nod for The Picture of Dorian Gray, was the final celebrity to arrive on the carpet, posting backstage snaps and glam selfies from the theatre dressing room to Instagram.
“Last on the carpet! #tonys,” she wrote.
Dressed in a buttery yellow, form-fitted gown with diamond cluster studs, the Succession alum looked every bit the Broadway star.
In Dorian Gray, she performs all 26 roles herself, in what is now the most celebrated Australian-led production in Tony Awards history.
The show also features the talents of Australians Clemence Williams, Nick Schlieper, Marg Howell and David Bergman in sound, lighting, costume and set design who are all nominated.
Competition in the lead actor category is fierce, with Stranger Things star Sadie Sink also nominated for John Proctor is the Villain. Sink stunned in a plunging silver gown dripping in crystals, while Nicole Scherzinger brought old-Hollywood glam in red for her role in Sunset Boulevard.
Other head-turning arrivals included Cole Escola, nominated for Oh, Mary!, in a shimmering silvery-blue gown, and George Clooney, who suited up for his first-ever Tony nomination for Good Night, and Good Luck.
This year’s most-nominated shows include Death Becomes Her, Maybe Happy Ending, and Buena Vista Social Club, with 10 nods each.
