PR queen Roxy Jacenko has hit back at SAS Australia instructor Ant Middleton’s criticism that she holds the global record for the shortest amount of time on the show.

Middleton took to radio on Friday to state the 42-year-old’s six-hour stint on the show was a record.

“She still holds the record. We’ve been close to it, though, but she still holds the record,” he told Fitzy and Wippa on NovaFM.

However Jacenko, who was rumoured to have been paid $200,000 to appear on the program, hit back at the Special Forces instructor, telling Saturday Confidential: “Yes, shortest time, highest paid — you tell me who’s smarter!

“And best bit — they are up to season three and they are still talking about it.

“I’m either a PR genius or just lucky.”

It is believed Jacenko negotiated her pay cheque without a “time spent” clause for her appearance on the show, which ended in a physical battle with former friend-turned-foe Candice Warner.

Jacenko and Warner, who was believed to have taken a “burner phone” on set so she could call cricketer husband David, were close friends prior to appearing on the show, however that relationship ended with a feisty punch-up.

At the time Jacenko said: “Someone who carries on punching you when your back is turned, and then sacks you some two weeks later as management after four years of hard work and support would need to be delusional to think I would want to be friends.”

Jacenko quit SAS Australia during the premiere episode in 2020.

It came after the cast were being punished after actor Firass Dirani disrespected the instructors.

“I can’t do it … My leg’s killing me,” Jacenko said before exiting the show.
