Romance blooms for Heartbreak High heart-throb Josh Heuston and Melbourne-born DJ

The cat’s out of the bag, and Dusty’s off the market. Rising actor Josh Heuston has been keeping his romance with this model on the down-low for at least six months.

Heartbreak High heart-throb Josh Heuston has been keeping his relationship under wraps, but Confidential can reveal he is off the market — and has been for some time.

Heuston, 26, is dating Melbourne-born Sydney-based model and DJ Carla Martinez.

The duo had planned to make their debut as a couple at iconic Darlinghurst nightspot Club 77 on Thursday, but Martinez pulled out at the last minute.

Heuston attended the The Presets gig stag instead.

He has been discreetly commenting queen emojis on Martinez’s Instagram posts for at least six months, but the snaps of the pair together are buried in photo dumps from their Mediterranean holiday late last year.

Martinez, 22, DJ’d at Super Paradise Beach Club in Mykonos, and appears very briefly in a video montage of the Greek island that her boyfriend shared to his 700,000 followers. She shared snaps of him horse riding, driving, and lounging at a beach restaurant in Cyprus.

This is what Gen Z-ers call “soft-launching” a relationship on social media, gently hinting at a romance without making it overtly obvious.

That makes sense, given Heuston’s last relationship with fellow high profile model and internet personality Cartia Mallan ended under the harsh scrutiny of the public eye, with Mallan sharing the “full on” details of the split on YouTube.

The Heartbreak High reboot made overnight sensations of its relatively unknown cast in September, when it became one of Netflix’s most-watched series in a matter of days.

The second season begins filming in March, and will see Heuston return home to reprise his role of bad boy Dusty.

The model-turned-actor has been jetting between Sydney and Hungary’s capital city of Budapest for the past few months, after being cast in one of Hollywood’s buzziest new projects, the upcoming HBO Max series Dune: The Sisterhood.

“It’s the kind of role everyone dreams of,” he said of the prequel to the big-budget film franchise starring Zendaya and Timothée Chalamet.

However, when Confidential asked how he met his partner, Heuston declined to comment.
