Richard Wilkins dating make-up artist Mia Hawkswell

Just months after calling it off with long-term girlfriend Nicola Dale, Richard Wilkins has found love again — and it was Sonia Kruger who played cupid!

Richard Wilkins has found love again, this time with celebrity make-up artist Mia Hawkswell.

Hawkswell, 47, is believed to have started dating Wilkins, 69, earlier this year after meeting him through her client and his friend Sonia Kruger.

The relationship comes just four months after Annette Sharp revealed the longstanding entertainment reporter broke it off with partner of four years, former Qantas flight attendant Nicola Dale.

It is believed Hawkswell recently broke up with her long-term partner.

“It is new, but they are very compatible and have gotten very close quickly,” one source told Saturday Confidential. “Mia has been a part of the entertainment industry for a very long time. She gets it and knows how it works.”

Hawkswell is the go-to make-up artist for a number of high-profile women, including Kruger, Erika Heynatz, Rachael Finch, Jessica Rowe and Kate Waterhouse.

One thing is clear, Wilkins has a type, with his majority of previous girlfriends all being beautiful blondes.

Prior to Dale, Wilkins was with Virginia Burmeister.

In 2013, it was revealed that he was dating Brownyn Jones, a venture capitalist and a close friend of Erica Packer.

Richard and actor Rebecca Naso were linked in 2008, after they were caught out by paparazzi enjoying a romantic holiday in Bryon Bay.

Aussie fashion designer Collette Dinnigan dated Wilkins in the early 2000s, before calling it quits in 2004.

Blonde actor Tottie Goldsmith briefly dated Wilkins in 1997.

Meanwhile Rebecca Gibney and “Dickie” Wilkins were once an item back in the day, when she was just 22 years old.

It is believed Wilkins and his previous partner Dale’s relationship came to an end because Wilkins is reluctant to get married again, after having forked out a small fortune to three ex-wives following the end of those failed unions.
