What have you got coming up at the moment?
This year for me is going to be about my children and family, travel – lots of travel – work (hopefully not too much of that!) and, of course, the upcoming season of Housewives. I’ve been referring to this as Housewives Season – in 2025, it has come early between Christmas and Easter.
How would you describe yourself?
I am very capable and very strong. I love to be busy – it makes me feel alive. My soul is 100 per cent creative; I see everything in colour, but my daily interests mainly revolve around horses and sport. One thing no one knows about me is how intuitive and sensitive I am. But my biggest failing? I’m a great big lover – I open my heart to everyone, even when I see red flags. My goal for 2025 is to never do that again.
How do you think others describe you?
My best friends would say I’m loyal to a fault, a straight shooter, and probably “always busy”.
What is most important to you?
My children. Sometimes I think being a mother is just having a pain in your chest all day. I think most mothers will get what I mean.
What is the last thing you read, watched, ate, and listened to?
Last thing I read: Vogue.
Last thing I watched: Drive to Survive (I’m not a huge TV watcher, but I love the F1 doco).
Last thing I ate: A wagyu steak with a dirty martini – my favourite.
Last thing I listened to: I love everything from opera to rap. Right now, I’m playing famous arias for my children in the car so they can familiarise themselves with them. My husband hates music, so we never have it in the house – I have to take advantage of the car. Listening to classical music is one of my favourite childhood memories.
As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Oh God, I had so many different dreams. I was once interviewed for Girlfriend Magazine when I was 14 for a fashion piece about original style. In the article, I said I wanted to be an actor. Well, I guess I almost reached my goal – I’m a Housewife.
What has been the biggest obstacle you have overcome or hardest hurdle in your life?
I don’t really have any big sob stories, so I always feel a bit funny answering this. Honestly, the whole situation with Kate last year might be my biggest. I was so lucky to have Nicole, Krissy and Caroline there to support me. They are amazing women.
If you had one wish, what would it be?
To live on an equestrian farm at the base of the French Alps – scoot up the mountain each morning for three hours and then come back to my nice indoor arena for the afternoon.
Tell us a secret. What is one thing people may not know about you?
I buy my make-up from Woolworths. I wash my face with body wash. I am the lowest-maintenance girl you can imagine.
What has been your proudest moment?
All mothers will say their kids – and that is true. So maybe I’ll list my second and third proudest moments. Umm … shivers … maybe it really is just my kids.
What do you wish we could do more about?
My big issue is children – abused children, trafficked children, sexually abused children. It’s such a taboo topic, and I try to support organisations that help, but it feels like society isn’t ready to go to a gala dinner and openly discuss this.
If you had a superpower, what would it be?
Probably just to be magic. Or, better yet, have the superpower to create superpowers.
What is the kindest thing anyone has ever said to you?
That they trust me and feel safe with me.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? Why?
I’d love to have more self-control when it comes to hedonism. I’m always looking for the best thing that’s a bit naughty – naughty food, expensive holidays. Everyone keeps telling me these things don’t actually make you happy … so is there something wrong with me?
