Olivia Molly Rogers reveals what’s next in the wake of marriage breakdown

The former Miss Universe Australia says she has no plans to become a footy WAG as she considers a return to dating after her marriage breakdown.

Olivia Rogers says she won’t date footballers and wants her next partner to have no ego.

The former Miss Universe Australia split from husband Justin McKeone after seven months of marriage in September.

“I just don’t want egos, I just want a nice genuine person,’’ Rogers said.

“I’m sure there are some good eggs in there (football) but as a whole, I just don’t really want someone with a profile.

“It probably sounds like a double standard but I just don’t want someone who wants me for the wrong reasons. If they think I’m going to make them look better. I just want a nice guy and it’s what I look for in my friends, someone with good morals.”

Rogers said she briefly dated a footballer in her 20s back in her hometown Adelaide.

She stepped out to celebrate the reveal of the official Ralph Lauren Australian Open 2023 uniforms and commemorative towels, saying she’s happier than ever.

She and McKeone recently sold the Glen Iris home they shared.

“I’m so relieved, we settle before Christmas,’’ she said.

“I’m the happiest I’ve been in a long time. I think next year is going to be a really good year. All my friends have been amazing. Having them over for a house warming was really fun and a lot of them have said you’re the happiest you’ve been in a long time.”

Rogers will spend Christmas with family in Adelaide, then heads to South Africa for a wedding before hitting Paris Fashion Week with her stylist Paul Versace from Styled by Bloom.

“There’s lots to look forward to, at first that was daunting,’’ she said.

“The shift, it’s very different to where I saw myself. I feel this huge wave of support of people behind me. Of course there’s still negative feedback too but predominantly people have been really supportive and people want to know what happened. When I’m ready I’ll say more.”
