MORRISSEY has seemingly leaked details of his own Australian tour.
The UK singer’s semi-official website True To You listed his confirmed concerts for the rest of 2016, including an Australian leg.
The site lists dates at Melbourne’s Festival Hall on October 22, Adelaide’s Thebarton Theatre on October 26, Canberra’s Royal Theatre on October 28, Wollongong’s WIN Centre on October 29 and Newcastle Civic Theatre on October 31.
The lack of Sydney dates is no doubt due to the fact Morrissey’s last Australian visit was four Sydney-only shows for last year’s Vivid Festival.
While shows in Wollongong and Newcastle may seem random, Morrissey once tried to route an Australian tour to include shows in the outback.
“Yes, it was planned, but the offers didn’t cover the travel expenses, so we couldn’t do it,” Morrissey told News Corp in 2012.
The former singer of The Smiths starts his tour in Kentucky on September 20 before heading to Asia and returning to the US in November.
