Global superstar Kylie Minogue has sent hearts racing.
Touching down in Sydney on Friday — the eve of her first night at Qudos Bank Arena in her international Tension Tour — Mardi Gras partygoers are holding out hope the queer icon will make an appearance at their famed after-party celebrations on Saturday night.
Rumours have swirled over recent weeks that Minogue was set to make an appearance at The Hordern Pavilion after her first Sydney show on Saturday — which conflicts with the 47th Mardi Gras in the Sydney CBD.
Tour promoters for the Aussie superstar would not confirm whether Minogue would appear at the highly coveted event.
There was backlash from fans forced to decide between supporting the world-renowned LGBTQI event and attending her first concert in Sydney in six years.
The Saturday Telegraph confirmed that another Australian music icon, Troye Sivan, will appear at the Mardi Gras afterparty.
Previous years have seen major international names fly in for Mardi Gras, including Cher, Sam Smith and Dua Lipa.
