The arrival of baby Sandilands is imminent and to celebrate the countdown coming to an end, dad-to-be Kyle Sandilands and his pregnant fiancee Tegan Kynaston threw a baby shower at their lavish Woollahra mansion on Saturday.
And just like their gender reveal, which was held on a superyacht and resulted in two jets releasing blue smoke in the air, in true “King Kyle” style, Saturday’s event was a grandiose affair.
Among those who attended the couple’s palatial home was the baby’s godmother-to-be and Sandilands’ KIIS FM co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson and her daughter Kitty, newly engaged couple John Ibrahim and Sarah Budge, Sandilands’ agent Bruno Bouchet, and jewellery designer Zena K’Dor.
Each was seen carrying oversized and extravagant gifts for the yet-to-arrive tot, who has been branded ‘Otto’ by Sandilands and Kynaston.
Guests posted images online of a giant blue and white balloon garland with oversized building blocks spelling out the baby’s fill-in moniker.
Sandilands and Kynaston, who have been dating since 2019 and became engaged in December, announced their pregnancy in February.
“We’re having a baby! We are having a friggin’ baby. I couldn’t be happier,” Sandilands said on KIIS FM’s The Kyle & Jackie O Show.
Kynaston added that her husband-to-be had been “very emotional” since finding out he was going to be a first-time father.
For the gender reveal in February, Sandilands booked a $4000-per-hour Oneworld superyacht and hired two fighter jets to officially reveal the gender of his baby by shooting blue smoke over Sydney Harbour.
Sandilands often talks about his relationship with Kynaston and their baby journey on his radio show, even revealing on-air in March they had decided on the name Otto for their son.
