Kiis King Kyle Sandilands set to celebrate 50th birthday in fine style
After a day on the harbour, Kyle Sandilands’ 50th birthday bash has moved to dry land, with the Kiis King welcoming a couple of extra guests to his eastern suburbs mansion.

It wasn’t so much a case of who was but who wasn’t invited along on Saturday as Kyle Sandilands, Sydney radio’s undisputed king, rang in his 50th birthday with a lavish bash aboard a $3000-per-hour superyacht on Sydney Harbour.
Surprisingly many of Sandilands’ long-times besties — including Sophie Monk and Karl Stefanovic — were nowhere to be seen aboard the swanky seafarer.
No sign either of Hollywood superstar Zac Efron, who invited Sandilands to his own birthday bash in Byron Bay last October.
John Ibrahim may have been absent from the official yacht festivities, but the diminutive former King of the Cross was amongst the second wave of guests who made their way to Sandilands’ Edgecliffe Rd mansion on Saturday night as Kyle’s soiree hit a new gear.
Accompanied by girlfriend Sarah Budge, Ibrahim arrived just after 7pm and was seen ducking away with a blonde pal around 9pm.
On the yacht Sandilands went with a low-key crew — including his entire radio production team and co-host of 21 years Jackie Henderson, who came with her new mystery beau who arrived separately.
The pair seemed keen to evade attention upon arrival, with Henderson boarding the boat separately.
“It’s very new and he doesn’t like the media attention,” said one guest who asked not to be named.
Guy Sebastian and Samantha Jade – the latter who also performed – were among those who made the cut for the intimate soiree as well as late last as well as retired NRL star Beau Ryan, boxing legend Jeff Fenech, TV exec Michael Pell and Sandilands’ tatted-up younger brother Chris.
Interestingly Sandilands’ so-called radio rival Ben Fordham also joined the festivities – with the pair clearly taking a break from their ‘on air feud’ which culminated Thursday when Fordham joked on air that his Kiss FM rival was turning 60 – not 50.
The crack led Sandilands to make an on-airball to Fordham’s producer Zac MacLean, telling the Ben Fordham Live staffer; “It‘s Kyle here. I’m not 60. Can you tell ginger balls [Fordham] that it’s only 50.”
And in true ‘Kyle style’ Sandilands made a characteristic entrance to the party yesterday, skipping arrivals at King Street Wharf and instead alighting the superyacht via a classic speedboat with former assistant-turned-live-in girlfriend Tegan Kynaston.
“It was actually quite an intimate vibe,” one onlooker told The Sunday Telegraph.
“It was a lot of family and real friends. It was all surprisingly very genuine.”
Guests mostly stuck to the dress code of gold – a homage to Sandilands’ signature microphone – with an ornate cake and cases of Sandilands’ own brand Neuva prosecco served throughout the evening.
It’s understood guests were scheduled to disembark just after 8pm, with an after-party due to kick off at Sandilands’ rented Woollahra mansion.
It is indeed a mighty milestone for Sandilands, who has long made light of his battles with his health.
A self-confessed cocaine abuser during the 2000s, Sandilands also revealed in 2018 that his blood pressure was “off the charts”.
“The blood pressure, that’s what could have killed me,” he said.
“They said, ‘Listen, your blood pressure is so high continuously that at any stage you could just die.’ I was like, ‘Whatever’.”
