She’s got a type: Dr Chris Brown’s ex Kassandra Clementi leaves actress fiancee Jacqueline Toboni for another animal man

Is it animal instinct? Former soap star Kassandra Clementi’s engagement to The L Word Generation Q’s Jacqueline Toboni, is over. Her new man on Instagram looks a lot like her other ex.

Former Home and Away actor Kassandra Clementi has soft-launched her new boyfriend on Instagram, surprising fans who were still under the impression she was engaged to The L Word actor Jacqueline Toboni.

“My (heart emoji),” the Australian who is best known for her role in US drama UnREAL, captioned a loved up photo with new boyfriend Dan McKerna; also sharing videos of him to her Instagram stories.

“Australians – what are your favourite spots in/around Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide?” her caption continued, indicating the new couple are travelling the country, and saving Clementi’s hometown for their last stop.

It was only in January that Clementi made her first public appearance with then-fiancee Jacqueline Toboni in Sydney, who stars in Showtime drama The L Word: Generation Q. Toboni plays soft-butch heartbreaker Finley, in the 2019 sequel to the groundbreaking 2004 drama about the lives and loves of a group of lesbians living in LA.

Toboni proposed to Clementi while on an Italian holiday in August 2021, and they both gushed over their engagement on Instagram.

“I feel so incredibly lucky to have found such a goofy, smart, funny, kind soul in you. Thank you for making me laugh everyday. I can’t wait to do this forever. Love you x,” Toboni captioned a photo of the pair with engagement rings.

Clementi and her ex Toboni have religiously documented their relationship on social media since 2019, sharing photos dressed up for gala events, holidaying in gorgeous locales, and at home with their dog in Los Angeles.

While they still follow one another, both women have deleted their engagement announcement posts and most of their photos together.

Clementi’s new partner is Dan McKerna, an American man from Austin, Texas who turned his family’s 140-year-old Michigan farm into an animal rescue program. He shared the same photo as she did, saying he’s “off to Kassandra’s homeland, Australia,” and asked his 300,000 followers for suggestions on where to visit.

He bears a striking resemblance to one of Clementi’s other exes, Dr. Chris Brown of Bondi Vet and The Open Road with Doctor Chris fame. McKerna also hosts a TV show called Saved By The Barn, that documents his travels across the States to rescue abused and neglected barnyard animals.

“I didn’t realise her and Jacqueline had broken up!,” one person commented on Clementi’s post, in which she is gazing adoringly at her new man.

The Australian actor confirmed her breakup, and new love when she replied: “amicably separated a while ago (smiley face).” The commenter wished her well, and Clementi thanked her.
