The much-younger girlfriend of hospo-heir Justin Hemmes is dipping her toe into the Sydney social scene.
Madeline Holtznagel made a rare detour from lunching at one of Merivale’s many high-end restaurants to make an appearance this week at the swimwear launch for lingerie brand Honey Birdette — an event held with much fanfare at the Boy Charlton pool.
Accompanied by friend Indiana Thew, Holtznagel, 24, rubbed shoulders with some of Sydney’s other best-known “socialites” and influencers, in what was something of a social debut for the model.
It comes almost a year after she and Hemmes, 48, began quietly dating after meeting via mutual friends.

The couple has largely since flown under the radar, but Hemmes finally admitted to the romance back in August, telling Confidential: “Yeah, we hang out a bit.”
Honey Birdette boss Eloise Monaghan confirmed this week that Holtznagel snared an invite as a result of her new-found status as the girlfriend of the high-profile hotelier — although, she added, the invitation list had been outsourced to a PR company.
“As far as I know she was there as Justin’s girlfriend … which I guess makes her pretty hot property at the moment,” Monaghan said.
“Although I wasn’t across exactly who everyone was at the event. I have been living in Los Angeles for a long time up until recently so I’m still getting my head around who everyone is in Sydney.”
The swimwear launch makes something of a change for Holtznagel, whose social media account is usually crammed with long lunches at various Hemmes venues, with the model and her pals hitting up Uccello (Ivy), Mimi’s (Coogee Pavilion) and Hotel Centennial already this week.
