She launched a new business branded “Besties” in 2023, so it’s fitting radio queen Jackie ‘O’ Henderson is recruiting a new group of friends to her once-limited inner sanctum.
The once notoriously private radio personality — who up until recently had a small and considered group of pals which included KIIS news reader Brooklyn Ross, Kyle Sandilands and business partner Gemma O’Neill — is now mixing with Australia’s rich and famous, even making her way over to Europe for one of her new friend’s nuptials.
First it was stylish designer Pip Edwards and agent Milly Gattegno who were welcomed into Henderson’s inner circle, then top Sydney stylist Jess Pecoraro and make-up artist to the stars Max May.
Now it’s Four Seasons condom heirs Michael and Alexander Porter who are joined at the hip with the mother-of-one.
Henderson was front and centre at Alexander’s chic wedding to his partner, Chris Ledlin, with the nuptials taking place at Château de la Napoule, a restored French castle located about a 15-minute drive from Cannes.
It looked as though Henderson was the most attractive and clickable new accessory at the three-day celebration, with Alexander’s brother Michael and his husband Billy Mitchell quickly uploading an image of themselves with Henderson on their social media pages.
“Throuple,” Henderson wrote alongside the image posted by Michael, who wed Mitchell in Italy last year.
It is believed Henderson crossed paths with Ledlin while he was working as Southern Cross Austereo’s social media director, however they have only become close of late.
Once known for flying under the radar and for being a homebody, Henderson swapped her tracksuit for a number of high-end designer looks for the wedding, including a $5500 Mariam Seddiq white strapless gown and a Paco Rabanne 1969 ball chain mail disc clutch, costing $1700.
“Prepare yourselves cause we’re going a bit extra today!!!! The boys said ‘make sure you bring the glam’,” Henderson wrote on her Instagram page.
An insider said: “She’s hot, got style and has got cash — it shouldn’t come as a surprise everyone wants a piece of her.
“And she is lapping it up.”
In 2023 Henderson signed a $10 million-a-year, 10-year deal with parent company ARN to take the Kyle and Jackie O radio show across Australia.
Sandilands and Henderson are due back in the studio on Monday, with the next set of ratings due on Tuesday.
A month after its launch in Melbourne, The Kyle & Jackie O Show, has so far been met with lukewarm ratings.
The show’s most recent ratings figures reveal it has a daily cumulative audience
of 128,000 ten to 17-year-olds, the largest number of young listeners of any station in the city.
