Hugh Jackman posts to social media for Father’s Day

Australian actor Hugh Jackman took to social media to express some thoughts about fatherhood with one photo delighting Wolverine fans. See the pics.

Aussie superstar Hugh Jackman took to his social media accounts to post a photo for Father’s Day, celebrated in North America on June 16.

But the spontaneous photo might have some people who are not familiar with his X-Men character scratching their heads.

The casual snap shows Jackman in a kitchen, ragefully confronting a bag of cereal that has spilt from a bowl onto the floor.

The actor, clad in grey track suit pants and a black T-shirt, flexes his biceps and clenches his fists in mock fury, while staring at the ground.

The pinky finger of his right hand sports a bandage and small splint, and appears to have been sprained or broken.

Jackman captured the photo, “Happy Father’s Day!?!!!!”

Fans of the actor have been left scratching their heads.

“We all need a Daddy figure”, said one.

“I can feel the claws coming out lmao. Happy Father’s Day.”

“Wolverine wigs out over spilt cereal”, posted another.

“Lovely moments for you with Ava and Oscar!!!” posted another fan, referring to the two children Jackman has raised with his former wife Deborra-Lee Furness.

After going through two miscarriages, the couple adopted two children – a boy born in 2000 and a girl born in 2005.

In September 2023, the couple announced their separation, but continue to co-parent their children.

In a statement they said their “highest priority” would always be their family, as they share two children: Oscar, 23, and Ava, 18.

“Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.”

“We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness,” the pair continued.

It appears that fatherhood is on the star’s mind lately.

Four days earlier, Jackman posted a picture of himself looking reflective, holding a cup of takeaway coffee with the caption, “In my Dad’s voice.... Always be on time.”

Jackman has had a run of cryptic posts lately. On June 6 he posted a photo of himself praying, with the caption, “Be very deliberate about what you wish for. It can come true.”

The Marvel star is currently in England filming Three Bags Full: A Sheep Detective Movie with Emma Thompson and Nicholas Galitzine in which he plays a shepherd who is murdered and his sheep help solve the crime.

Jackman last appeared on the red carpet solo at the Met Gala.

Since 2004, Jackman had attended the lavish New York event with his wife, Deborra-lee Furness six times including in 2023. This year was his first appearance alone.
