Nadia Bartel has found new love with a former footballer turned model.
The mum of two has been dating Peter Dugmore, a gym equipment and fitness expert, whose family is based in Sydney.
Dugmore was a promising footballer in New South Wales before turning his hand to modelling and signing with Giant Management.
It’s a welcome change of fortune for Bartel after she was rocked by a leaked video scandal last year when she was filmed snorting a white substance. And just this week it emerged she will face court for driving while her licence was suspended just seven days before the viral video emerged.
Bartel, 36, separated from ex-husband Jimmy Bartel in 2019 and had a short-lived romance with personal trainer Nathan Brodie last year.
The influencer and businesswoman was snapped this week by paps in a warm embrace with Dugmore in Melbourne.
Dugmore was based in LA for many years and travelled the world for work before returning to Australia and his close-knit family.
His LinkedIn page says he’s a Sales Director Global Account at Amer Sports Corporation.
Bartel has posted trips to Sydney in recent times, plus holiday snaps and seems happier than ever following the success of her fashion brand Henne.
In a Q&A with boutique elite fitness modelling agency, AEFM International, Dugmore tells of his love for sport, fitness and nutrition.
“From my first job at a gym sweeping floors and putting away weights, to playing semi-professional AFL, I have spent every day of my working life and most of my free time doing some kind of fitness or sport,’’ he wrote.
“Through the fitness industry I have had the luxury of travelling the world and meeting some amazing people, all the while working in an industry that I love and am so passionate about.
“Growing up I didn’t think I would be a model, nor did I think the fitness industry would take me around the world, but I have worked hard, set goals and fulfilled my dreams.”
Dugmore also said his role model was David Beckham.
Bartel has been charged with two offences and is due to face Melbourne Magistrates Court for a mention hearing on March 24 and could face up to four months in jail, or a fine of up to $4500 for a first offence.
She apologised on social media and did not face criminal charges in the fallout from the snorting video.
