Watch out Sydney - you’re about to be set on fire and enter the world somewhere between heaven and hell, where cabaret, circus and acrobatics combine into one mesmerising show.
The cabaret spectacle Limbo - The Return has arrived in Sydney, almost a decade on from the original Limbo show which travelled to the harbour city and around the world.
Among the world-renowned circus performers and prolific musicians is Sydney-born fire-breathing singer Clara Fable, dubbed the Fire Queen.
Ms Fable said she was excited to return to her hometown, lighting herself on fire every night in front of familiar faces.
“I abruptly left and ran away with the circus some time last year, so it’s really good to be back,” Ms Fable said.
“For me it’s so important to be able to perform in front of my friends, family and colleagues…they don’t usually get to see me perform as I’m usually overseas, so it’s nice.
“Where else are you going to get international performances all together in one space creating original acts, original music, original composition - original everything.
“There’s something for everybody, it’s not just scary fire, there’s beautiful ethereal aerials, vocals, incredibly talented musicians and stuff like that.”
The show’s creative director Scott Maidment said “the crowd will be left gasping for breath, dancing in the aisles, and shedding a tear.”
“Audiences will be whisked away to a sinister netherworld of gut-churning contortion, breath-taking acrobatics, and jaw-dropping stunts,” Mr Maidment said.
Limbo: The Return is on at The Grand Electric in Surry Hills till mid August.
