Deborra-lee Furness quietly touched down in Sydney on Friday for what looks to be her first trip home to Australia since separating from husband Hugh Jackman in September.

Reps for Furness were unable to confirm the actor’s schedule or claims she might be in town to appear at Flickerfest film festival, which kicked off in Bondi on Friday.

In truth, Furness’s two US talent agencies, William Morris and Atlas Artists, might do well to refamiliarise themselves with their client list, as this column’s inquiries were met with “That name (Furness) sounds familiar …” from Atlas’s phone receptionist and a clueless “Is that your name? Oh, it’s HER name …” from the receptionist at prestige agency William Morris, which also represents her more famous husband.

Furness and Jackman have confirmed they are splitting their property portfolio, which implies there have been talks about who will hold onto the couple’s $6m luxury penthouse apartment at North Bondi’s Ben Buckler Point.

Keen ocean swimmer Jackman has a soft spot for Bondi Beach, where he is often photographed.
