Crown Princess Mary stuns in white as she lays foundation stone for new hospital

Australia’s Princess Mary has dazzled in a classy white dress as she helped lay the foundation stone for a children’s hospital that will take her name.

Denmark’s Crown Princess Mary looked stunning in white as she attended an event at a hospital that will be named after her.

The 50-year-old was on hand to lay the foundation stone for Mary Elizabeth‘s Hospital – Rigshospitalet for Children, Teens and Expecting Families in Copenhagen, Denmark on Monday local time.

The royal dazzled in a knee-length white dress cut in a classy silhouette and a dainty sash knotted at the waist.

She paired the long sleeve dress with a button detail with pale pink heels.

“I have been looking forward to today. Because today we are laying the foundation stone for a new groundbreaking hospital,” she said.

“A hospital for children, adolescents, pregnant women and their families. Where treatment, security, wellbeing and motivation go hand-in-hand.”

When the Crown Princess was finished, she put her notes in the time capsule, along with other things including a red heart made of Lego, a stuffed animal and a stethoscope.

For accessories, she donned a floral brooch in a gold metal, as well as a number of bracelets and a gold chain necklace.

Princess Mary also wore a beige straw hat with a white brim and rope detailing, as well as pearl statement earrings.

For makeup, she chose a natural look with a rosy cheek, and a rich pink lipstick in a satin finish.

Her brunette locks were worn down, straight and pushed back behind her ears to showcase her face.

The new hospital will focus on caring for children, young people and pregnant women and will have 179 single rooms, 87 other patient rooms and 13 operating rooms.

The building’s 60,000 square meters are on eight floors and will be able to accommodate up to 900 patients at a time. Mary Elizabeth’s Hospital will open in 2026.
