Forget “Fat Thor” and say hello to “Hairy Hemsworth” instead.
A George Miller movie is always visually stunning, but having Chris Hemsworth, wife Elsa Pataky, their children and even his father film a scene for Mad Max: Furiosa gave a new definition to eye-popping.
Hemsworth will officially bid farewell to his “Fat Thor” phase when his latest Marvel offering Love And Thunder hits cinema screens on Wednesday, but he was rocking an equally strange look on Saturday — one that would not have been out of place in Lord Of The Rings.
Hemsworth could be seen wearing a prosthetic nose and long red hair and beard as he guided his young children around the crazy set.
It required a second glance, as at first he appeared to be his own stunt double.
He was joined by dad Craig, a social services counsellor, actress wife Pataky, their 10-year-old daughter India Rose, and twin sons Tristan and Sasha, 8.
Their appearance comes after the Hollywood star revealed that two of his kids appear in Thor: Love And Thunder.
India Rose makes a cameo, as does Tristan as a young Thor.
Hemsworth’s eldest brother Luke was also spotted in Sydney this week, prompting fans to believe he would also appear in the post-apocalyptic action adventure.
Furiosa is a prequel to 2015’s Mad Max: Fury Road, and stars Charlize Theron as the heroine of a dystopian wasteland.
The cold and rainy weather on set at Kurnell had director Miller rugged up in a red wet-weather jacket and oversized scarf.
No doubt it has also been chilly during filming at Broken Hill, which was famously the backdrop to Mad Max 2.
The new film is slated for a 2024 release.
