Self-proclaimed “Disney Adult” Rebel Wilson got banned from Disneyland for 30 days after breaking one of their rules.
“I took a photo in a secret bathroom inside Disneyland, which is illegal … and I got officially banned for 30 days,” Wilson, 43, told Hasan Minhaj on The Daily Show this week.
Thankfully, the Pitch Perfect alum’s celebrity status allowed her to choose the days she would be barred from entering the happiest place on earth.
“They called me up and said, ‘Rebel, what 30 days do you not want to come to Disneyland because you’re away filming a movie or something?’ and I said, ‘Oh, June would be fine,’” she recalled.
Wilson got engaged to Ramona Agruma in Disneyland last month.
“I got engaged in Disney Land, the happiest proposal place,” Wilson told Minhaj, 37, jokingly adding, “It’s not like I’m obsessed with Disneyland. It’s just, I go there every weekend and every important holiday and every important life event.”
Along with her engagement, Wilson has also celebrated her 40th birthday at the amusement park — and even got to stay overnight.
“I did actually get to sleep inside Disney Land for my 40th birthday,” she said, “And I got those little disability scooters and went around just by myself. I was cruising around.”
She added, “It was really fun. And then I tried to break into the churros thing and then I couldn’t get that many, but it was fun.”
Wilson also joked that she was in the “Disney Illuminati” dubbed “Club 33.”
“I’m in it. You’re not supposed to say you’re in it. You’re not supposed to reveal other celebrities who are in it, or other members, but yeah, I am in it,” she said. “And we do secret cool sh*t together.”
Wilson went on with the bit, saying that the club will sneak into Disneyland at 5am “just to run around” and joked that they have a secret gathering this weekend in Palm Springs because “Walt Disney used to go there to find inspiration.”
The Senior Year actress and Agruma confirmed their engagement in February by sharing photos from their Disney proposal.
“Thank you @tiffanyandco for the stunning ring and to Bob Iger and the incredible team at Disneyland @disneyweddings for pulling off this magical surprise!” she wrote on social media at the time.
Wilson revealed she was dating the Lemon Ve Limon founder in June 2022 while simultaneously coming out as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community.
“I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince … but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess,” she wrote in an Instagram post at the time, along with the pair enjoying a day at Disneyland together.
Meanwhile, Wilson became a mum when she welcomed her first child via surrogate, a daughter named Royce, last November.
Wilson, who had been open about her fertility struggles, revealed last month that her surrogate lost a baby during her first surrogacy attempt, saying “the embryo miscarried” months before Royce was born.
The Aussie actress has shared that Agruma was supportive throughout the surrogacy process and has been with her every step of the way as she navigates being a new mum.
However, she did admit that Agruma’s family has not been very accepting of their relationship.
