Kate Middleton trolled over her note celebrating Meghan Markle’s birthday

It appears to be a harmless birthday message, but Kate Middleton has now been accused of making Meghan Markle’s special day all about her.

Internet trolls have accused Kate Middleton of making sister-in-law Meghan Markle’s birthday all about her after she paid tribute in an Instagram post.

Yesterday the Kensington Palace Instagram account shared a group photo of Prince William, Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle, Prince Harry and Prince Charles to mark the Duchess of Sussex’s 38th birthday, The Sun reports.

Accompanying the group snap of the royals arriving for a Christmas service at Sandringham last year was the caption: “Wishing a very happy birthday to The Duchess of Sussex today!”

In the photo, Kate is beaming, taking centre stage while the other royals walk alongside her.

The picture shows the royals attending the traditional Christmas Day church service at St Mary’s Magdalene in Norfolk last year.

While some royal followers praised Kate and William for their “classy” birthday wishes, others questioned the choice of photo.

“Wait... and why doesn’t she have a picture of her alone?? It’s ‘HER’ birthday right?!?,” one follower wrote.

Another outraged fan replied: “Why a picture of the whole Royal Family? It’s not about Kate or William or Charles! It’s about Meghan! Ridiculous!”

Someone else questioned: “All these royal photographers couldn’t find a pic of Meghan in the centre?!? In a brighter colour??????????”

It comes after Meghan and Harry were accused of posting an overly “formal” message to Prince William for his 37th birthday in June.

Lacking their usual social media flair, the @sussexroyal account simply commented: “Happy Birthday to The Duke of Cambridge!”

Unhappy with their polite message to William, one fan addressed Harry and commented: “It’s your own brother, why the need to be so formal?”

HARRY’S TOUCHING BIRTHDAY MESSAGE

Prince Harry has left his wife Meghan Markle a touching message as she celebrates her birthday today.

The event is particularly special for the Duchess of Sussex, who is turning 38, as it is the first time she is commemorating her birthday as a mother.

A photograph of the Duchess appeared on the royal couple’s Sussex Royal Instagram account with a personal note written by the Duke of Sussex.

It stated: “Happy birthday to my amazing wife. Thank you for joining me on this adventure, — H.”

The photo posted of Markle shows her smiling while in Tonga as part of her first official royal tour with Prince Harry to Australia and the South Pacific region last year, when the couple attended the Invictus Games in Sydney.

Markle was pregnant at the time and wore a turquoise blue Veronica Beard shirt dress as she attended the unveiling of The Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy at Tupou College and watched a traditional singing performance — before heading to Sydney.

In posting a series of photos of Markle with each of them, they wrote on their official Clarence House Instagram account: “a very Happy Birthday to HRH the Duchess of Sussex.”

One of the photos is of Markle at her father-in-law’s 70th birthday party held in London just a few days after she tied the knot with Prince Harry at Windsor Castle.

Another photo is of Prince Charles and Markle while heavily pregnant at the traditional Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey.

The official Royal Family Instagram account also posted a photo of the couple with a message saying: “Happy Birthday to the Duchess of Sussex.”

UK media outlets have reported that Markle will be celebrating her birthday in a low-key manner at Frogmore Cottage, after the backlash she faced over her baby shower in the US.
