The Wales returned to work to thank staff and volunteers involved in the Queen’s funeral over the last two weeks.

Prince William and Kate Middleton travelled to Windsor on Thursday UK time for the appearance and posted a message of thanks on their social media to all involved for making the experience “safe and positive”.

Prince William reportedly told attendees that he still gets caught by moments of sadness following his grandmother’s death, but said the outpouring of support from the public has buoyed the royal family amid their grief.

The royal family were not expected to attend in-person engagements during their extended period of mourning but Prince William and Kate and Princess Anne took time on Thursday to thank people for their support.

Princess Anne, the late Queen’s only daughter, visited two military bases to thank military personnel who supported the monarch’s funeral and other events last week during the national period of mourning.

HARRY’S BIZARRE MOVE TO FIX FAMILY

Prince Harry met with this father King Charles III earlier this year “to clear the air”, where he suggested a “mediator” to help mend the rift with the Royal Family, a new book about the royals claimed.

The Duke of Sussex’s mediator suggestion seemingly caught Queen Consort Camilla by surprise with her “spluttering into her tea”, according to an excerpt of The New Royals book by Katie Nicholl published in Vanity Fair.

Nicholl’s book The New Royals: Queen Elizabeth's Legacy and the Future of the Crown looks at the division between members of the British Royal Family after the Sussexes decided to stop being working royals and move to the US.

A friend of the family was quoted saying: “Harry went in with hugs and the best of intentions and said he wanted to clear the air”.

“He actually suggested that they use a mediator to try and sort things out, which has Charles somewhat bemused and Camilla spluttering into her tea,” the family friend said.

“She told Harry it was ridiculous and that they were a family and would sort it out between themselves.”

Nicholl wrote the situation with the Sussexes was “hurtful” to Prince William and his father.

“He (William) always expected Harry would be his wingman; there was a long-term plan in place for the brothers to work together and support one another,” the excerpt reads.

When Megixt happened, Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton apparently were relieved “the drama was gone”, the book claims

“To this day, William still cannot forgive his brother,” Nicholl wrote.
