Messages of support for Cassandra Thorburn after Karl Stefanovic marries Jasmine Yarbrough

As Karl Stefanovic celebrates his marriage to Jasmine Yarbrough in Mexico, his former wife Cassandra Thorburn has posted a cryptic image on social media.

As Karl Stefanovic celebrates his marriage to Jasmine Yarbrough at a lavish bash in Mexico, well wishers have flocked to the Instagram account of his former wife Cassandra Thorburn in a show of support.

Thorburn, the mother of the Today show host’s three children, posted an image of the feminist novel A Handmaid’s Tale as she prepared to jet off on a plane journey.

She described the novel as “an emotional rollercoaster”.

Stefanovic today wed 34-year-old shoe designer Jasmine Yarbrough at the luxurious Cabo San Lucas resort, just over a year after finalising his divorce from Thirburn, his wife of 21 years.

As Stefanovic and Yarbrough celebrated their nuptials with family and friends, Thorbun’s Instagram account was flooded with messages of support.

One Instagrammer offered kind words to the 47-year-old journalist and author, describing Thorburn as a “strong woman”.

“I’m a complete stranger, yet my heart is hurting for you,” the Instagrammer wrote.

Another user posted: “Don’t know you Cassie, but thinking of you this weekend. Stay strong.”

Cassandra Thorburn, in Sydney last week, has been flooded with supportive Instgam messages.

In another emotive post, Thorburn was praised for “finally stepping out from someone’s shadow and becoming whole again”.

Another Instagrammer provided positive thoughts, telling Thorburn “beautiful things are on their way to you.

Stefanovic's former wife has released her first children's book, with the profits helping families going through separation.

Thorburn’s children Jackson, 19, Ava, 13 and 12-year-old River are all in Mexico for their father’s big day.

Just days before Stefanovic’s wedding, Thorburn took aim at his new lifestyle and his future wife — but without mentioning either.

Thorburn did not name her ex or his new partner, but her message was clear at a women’s event at Sydney’s Luna Park, in pointed comments about picking up the kids and keeping the home clean.

Thorburn took the opportunity for a swipe at women who place an importance on appearance and fashion, saying as a busy mother running around after her family, following fashion trends was not important.

“(Life) is not a fashion show, it’s not a competition. It is not a competition on going out and dressing up. I have been judged on my appearance … I don’t agree with it,” she said.

“How I turn up to pick up my kids from school that day depends on what I have been doing. I might have been cleaning toilets, we all do it.”
